Blind Date returned earlier this year with Paul O' Grady at the helm after a 13-year hiatus.
Here is everything you need to know about the show...
It involves one singleton asking three members of the opposite sex questions about them.
Their potential blind dates are hidden behind a screen, and the contestant must pick one lucky lad or lady based purely on their answers.
Things kicked off last night with a group of men competing for what they thought was the title of Britain's Ultimate Lad.
Hosted by the King of dating, Paddy Mc Guinness, the new series is to air with two special episodes to celebrate 10 years of dating success.
Another woman appeared to be sending her apparently perfectly nice boyfriend to Tool Academy because he was "too gay" and needed to man-up – presumably they'll be allowed to swap places. And yet sadly, I can imagine the final boo-be-doo-be-dos of Glee fading out again next week and Tool Academy barging its way onto TV and watching from behind my hands once more.
A band with a sound so good, you’re going to wonder why you haven’t heard of them already. Ed: I’d probably head out with one one of the big bands from the real heyday of being in a band. Her video for Birthdays is so incredibly good, you seen it? How can one not love her, and her brand of pop.)VMP: What’s the record store you grew up frequenting? Ed: Putting an EP out with a new label called Best Laid Plans in the next few months.
Paul was a natural choice for Channel 5 of Blind Date, as he was the late Cilla's best friend.
He was so close to the late Scouser he delivered the eulogy at her funeral.
VMP: What’s your dream tour, and why did you choose those artists/bands? So I’d go out and take drugs with them and share cold sores like in Spinal Tap. Other than “Gotta Wait,” I’m intensely invested in the new Kwabs EP personally, as well as Olivver’s single “Attica '71.” I may also be found listening to “Turn Down For What,” if no one’s looking. I like Tune-Yards - “Water Fountain.” I like Kyla La Grange - “Cut Your Teeth.” I like Damon Albarn - “Heavy Seas of Love.” I like “Lazaretto” by Jack White. VMP: Do you have any “guilty pleasure” songs/artists? Ed: I suppose we’d have to count Katy Perry as a guilty pleasure but I don’t feel guilty about it, I think she’s great. VMP: So, what can we expect from Ed Cares/CHILDCARE in the next few months?
